THE BLUE STRIPE – It symbolizes Patriotism and Justice.
THE RED STRIPE – It represents valour and the blood spilt for Freedom and Independence
THE WHITE – It stands for PEACE and PURITY. The White Triangle represents equality.
THE THREE STARS – It represent the three main geographical regions of the Philippines: Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
THE SUN – It represents independence and its eight rays represent the eight (8) provinces that led the Philippine uprising against Spanish Rule.
Note: The singing of the Philippine National Anthem will take place today, 7 May 2016 around 5:00 pm at the Philippine Crocodile Park Grounds, Davao City – and in the rest of the Philippines and around the World!
