Davao City is the crown jewel of the Philippines - constatly listed as one of the most desirable cities in Asia to live in, and for good reason. Just right beside the the enchanting Mount Apo and the Island Garden City of Samal, Davao City is well known as a leader in peace and order and environmental issues, and is a "Green" city in every respect.
Sports and recreational venues, educational opportunities, cultural events and institutions, and a robust commerce augment the seat of Davao City.

Davao enjoys a weather that remains soothing most of the year. Its climate is characterized by a uniform annual distribution of rainfall, temperature, humidity, and air pressure.
Davao is typhoon-free. Protected by several mountain ranges, Davao is virtually out of the typhoon belt.
This discerning characterisitcs, makes Davao unique from the rest of the archipelago. Davao being virtually typhoon-free, lightweight clothing is a must. Whatever your purpose, Davao is the ideal destination to look forward to.
Davao City is populated by an even mix of tribes, from all over the Philippine archipelago and traders from the four corners of the world. The average Davaweño can easily converse and understand English, and it is fluent Tagalog and Bisaya or Cebuano.
The solemn rituals of the tribes, their rhythmic dance steps and chanting music are intimately interwoven with the rich customs and traditions of migrants. There are two main festivals, the Araw Ng Dabaw Celebrations every March and the Kadayawan Festival in August.
Apart from the fabled jeepney, taxicabs are plenty as well. One can avail of the numerous rent-a-cars. Just ask the hotel personnel.
There are a lot of places to stay all over city. It's not hard to find comfortable lodgings that suited your need. From 3 to 5 stars hotels.

Take your pick among fast food, Chinese cooking, Filipino Dishes, Continental cuisine, Fresh seafood, deserts of sandwich and burgers. Formal dining is also available in hotels and large restaurants at very reasonable rates. Major credit cards are accepted.

uy daghan man resorts sa samal..kulang pani
great photos davaohive!
nice! sana may bridge na so i can have a resort and island hopping experience without hiring expensive bancas..hehe
cool beaches there hive!
i thot hoff gorei is one small resort, its looks nice in the photo ha! wanna go resort hopping pud! hehe keep in touch fellas!
wow ha!
i did not expect na marami na palang nice resorts sa samal by just looking at the photos, though we really cannoy say if these resorts are worth the return for the 2nd time, but at least we have good reasons to say that samal deserves a new bridge to boost up its economy and share out its treasure with the world!
cebu will soon have its P3Billion Imperial Palace Waterpark Resort and Spa by 2009. Major investors should also look for samal and talikud islands…its comparable with mactan island din naman in cebu, in fact samal is bigger and has more resources than mactan…all it needs is a bridge and a lot of other infra projects
hi vonne…can i get your number?
davao hive your website is great! buhati ko be! hehe
wow!!!!!proud 2 be samaleños jud q….
where can we get CONTACT numbers of these resorts????????
Let’s not focus on the negative sides, I hope these plans will prosper. Magandang site talaga ang Samal. It’s up to the local government officials of Davao and Davao del Norte (Samal is part of Davao del Norte) kung ano ang agreement for these plans on what specific areas ang idedevelop and what areas should be left as it is. So long as hindi masisira ang kalikasan and walang hazardous factories na itatayo sa island, personally for me, ok lang na may tulay talaga. At least kung ano mang produkto meron ang Samal, mas madali na ‘tong maitatransport going to the mainland and vice versa. See?
Mula nang bata pa ako, naririnig ko na ang mga plans regarding this bridge, pero till now, I’m 24 years old na, wala pa rin. By the way, I have lots of relatives who live in Babak kasi and my Uncles also own lands there. So maganda talaga kung may tulay na, at least if ever may mga emergency like medical cases (kelangan dalhin sa hospital), 24/7 madali na lang ang transportation. Hindi kagaya ngayon na you’ll really have to wait for the ferries to transport us.
ang ganda ng resorts ng samal! i did not expect it…

SAMAL ISLAND IS FAR BETTER THAN CEBU’S MACTAN! THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THAT IT IS HIGHLY UNTAPPED!
THIS COMPARISON IS SYNONYMOUS WITH DAVAO ORIENTAL’S 400 KM. LONG WHITE SAND BEACH AS COMPARED WITH THE 9 KM. BEACH LINE IN BORACAY.
